Who’s Who in Asian Americans Communities Awards

The WWAAC Leaders & Legends Awards showcase and recognize the accomplishments of dedicated and successful Asians who serve as elite role models in the community. The 2-hour televised WWAAC Leaders and Legends Awards program will serve as a platform for celebrating the outstanding achievements of distinguished Asian American leaders, as well as highlighting the corporations and organizations that support the Asian community through the television commercials and corporate executive presenters featured in the show.  For the third year, the WWAAC Awards will also include a WWAAC Community Spirit Award.

For over one hundred fifty years, Asian Americans have made enormous contributions to the prosperity and success of this great nation.  While there are many different Who’s Who organizations recognizing outstanding members of our society, very few, if any, focus on the prominent Asian Americans who have been our role models for success, great contributors to our community and to the nation, and distinguished figures in their own professions.

In six years, the WWAAC Awards have honored 130 distinguished Asian Americans and UPS, McDonald’s and State Farm Insurance as the WWAAC Corporate Champions.

The WWAAC Awards are hosted by the WWAAC Alliance Foundation which is a non-profit 501 (C) 3 organization – created to advance and better the lives of Asian American Pacific Islanders; to educate the public and bring about awareness, understanding and appreciation of the diverse cultures and ethnic backgrounds of Asian Americans; to serve as a platform and source by recognizing, highlighting and honoring Asian Americans who have contributed greatly to various sectors of society; and to create, promote, and disseminate compelling and impactful information about the needs and concerns of the Asian community through events such as conferences, seminars, panel discussions, television programming, symposiums, and other charitable events.

Asian Americans are the most diverse ethnic group in the United States today with the influence of more than fifteen different cultures. Compared to the average U.S. adult, they are well educated, earn a higher income and spend heavily on a range of products and services. In addition, Asian Americans are the fastest growing segment of the U.S. population.
